CJC-1295 with DAC is a synthetic 30-amino-acid peptide. It was originally derived from the first 29 residues of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH), modified at four positions and conjugated to a Drug Affinity Complex (DAC) that binds serum albumin. Since its development in the early 2000s, CJC-1295 with DAC has been studied extensively in controlled experimental settings for its potential influence on GHRH-receptor signaling, growth hormone secretion, and IGF-1 dynamics.

History
The peptide was first developed by ConjuChem Biotechnologies as a long-acting analog of GHRH, which is otherwise cleaved within minutes in circulation. Early experiments focused on the DAC modification, a maleimidopropionyl group that covalently binds albumin and extends the compound's plasma half-life to several days. Over time, studies broadened into endocrine, metabolic, and systemic systems, where CJC-1295 with DAC consistently demonstrated properties of interest in the context of sustained growth hormone release and biological resilience.
